COME GREAT THINGS...

first time i held both William & Jonathon together.

when we brought them home from the hospital, daddy singing them a song.

five years later....i don't know when it happened!
William weighed 4 lbs 5 years ago, now he weighs 39 lbs.
Jonathon weighed 3 lb 15 oz, now he weighs 37.5 lbs. (and yes, the .5 matters!)
on my goodness, looking at these pictures gives me a lump in my throat! sometimes it hard to imagine William and Jonathon being so tiny when they were born and yet something i will never forget. William and Jonathon were two days old before i was able to hold each of them and then it was only for one hour each. but oh it felt so good! looking at the last picture and thinking 5years old! in no time they will be starting school. today i'm not ready for that. good thing i have a few months to prepare. these boys are so similar in all they do and totally different at the same time. i love each of their personalities and for who they are individually. but what a wonderful thing to be a twin! these boys are best friends! when one is in a time out the other will go sit with him, even if the one is in time out for hitting his brother. they are such great brothers to Owen. the three of them fit so good together. i am grateful to be William, Jonathon, and Owen's mom. to be able to watch them grown and learn really is amazing.

how Sweet! I can't believe they are five already!
that was sweet. How tiny.... only two days but it seemed like forever didn't it?? So why didn't you post your picture of you with their cake...you worked hard on it....so silly. Thanks for watching the kids!
i can't imagine not holding your baby for two days after they were born!! happy birthday boys...you are quite the pair :)
it really does go by so fast! our boys sound so much alike as far as their twinness (is that a word, lol?)...sitting together in time out for hitting him, the big deal on being bigger, so alike and so different...it's amazing! how lucky they all are to have a twin! amidst all the double trouble they truly are the biggest blessings! happy 5th bday boys! i feel your pain on them starting school and not feeling ready, i felt the same way but they are doing great and loving school and yours will too, i'm sure! :)
I can't remember them that little anymore. You have to post a picture of the cakes. I can think of at least three people who didn't get to see them who will want to. Thanks for putting up with my crazies.
I can't believe they're five!! I still remember getting the call from Russ that you weren't coming to dinner because you were being admitted to the hospital... crazy. Such handsome dudes though, they've always been so cute.
Congratulations of raising such great boys, Ashley! I remember how tiny they were and it really is amazing how it seems like so long ago, but at the same time it seems like yesterday when you and Russ took them to church for the first time with their ventilators and everything.
My goodness! I remember seeing them in the NICU the day after they were born! Ic ouldn't believe how something so small could be a person! And now I can't believe those rambunctious kids know how to pray and are so loving to you and Russ and Owen. What a great family! And how lucky I am to be a part of it!
