for Russ' cake this year the boys wanted it to be a treasure map. they have known for a long time we were going to do this for him and it was super hard for them to keep it a secret! they were so happy when he could finally see it. secrets are hard to keep for everyone.

the boys helped paint this for Russ for his birthday. it turned out pretty good i think. this was also hard for them to keep secret. we were finishing it up when Russ got home. he was sent to his room for a nap, but as soon as he woke up the boys had to show him.
