let's see....

the boys playing in sprinklers. owen wasn't sure he liked it. last year he loved it. i don't think he liked it really big. when we turned the water down he thought that was okay.
then the boys bouncing on those punch balloons...love those.
the boys lounging outside with a cookies. they laid down and told me it was "such a nice day." so then we laid on the grass, eating cookies, enjoying what a nice day it was.

owen caught a snail. (not that it is very hard to caught one...) the poor thing, he kept putting his finger in the hole. but he walked around so proud of it like it was his pet snail.
it seems like all kids like to try on shoes at some point. owen is now at that point. he thinks it is so funny to walk around in william & jonathon's shoes. then he kicks them off and thinks he is even funnier. i finally took some pictures of him trying on his daddy's boots. they are so heavy for him that he can't even walk in them. once he gets them on he tries to walk but ends up falling over.
william and jonathon had their last day of class this week. they have been in speech therapy for the last year. i was just talking with their teacher and another lady that helped with their evaluation the first time we went. they hardly talked, and now just a year later, you can understand pretty much everything they say. they can talk in sentences. i can't believe what a difference it has made. you can see their minds working out how to say the words the right way. they are so proud when they get it right! i am so grateful for their teacher. she is so good with them. plus she is grandma to twin girls the same age as my boys, so she understood more how to help them. i am amazed at how much help such a little thing can be. their teacher really knew what she was doing and helped me understand why they did things one way and how to help with differently since their personalities are so different. anyway, we will defiantly miss their teacher!

today the boys also have their first real birthday party to go to. (one of their friends that invited them) i'm kind of excited for them....
in other news; when have a bench that sits outside. it is one of those hard plastic ones. i like it. russ and i have used it a number of times to stand on to get stuff out of the tree, off the roof, etc. yesterday russ was standing on it getting something out of the tree (yes, that the boys throw up there) i was inside and heard crush. i look out the window and right as russ grabbed what was in the tree is broke through the bench! poor guy, it scraped his leg up pretty good. and now i don't have a bench outside to sit on. it was funny though!

I can't believe you laughed about your sweet husband getting hurt! When am I going to get to see the boys again? I'm glad they had such a great teacher and got such good results.

those pictures are so fun! i'm totally surprised that the ballons didn't pop...they're sitting on them pretty good! owen is so funny with those boots. sad that the boys' class is over (will i still get to come play on thursdays?), but it is so true that they've come so far!

Ash, your little boys kinda look like Dusty too, do people ever tell you that? I remember Phillip had to take speech classes, it really did help him! So you will be in Phx on June 8? Random, but now being in YW's reminds me of all the fun memories that we made in there and I only hope to be one of the advisor's they can look up to as an example! I wish you were in there with me! :)

Wow--William and Jonathon look so tall! Isn't warm weather great? I bet you don't miss that snow at all. I'm glad to hear that the boys are speaking so well. I could really tell a difference at Christmas and I'm sure they're even better now. Thank goodness for wonderful teachers.
