what's an easter egg hunt????

enjoying a snack outside. the top picture is how they sat by themselves. then i wanted to get owen in the shade, so i moved him for the next picture.
on saturday our stake did a 5k. we were going to take the boys and push the stroller. but it was raining so i ran it with mary anne. we forgot to take a picture of the big event! after the run there was a easter egg hunt for the kids. by the time i got home, got the kids dressed and back to the park for the egg hunt it had already started and there was a ton of kids. we tried but the boys didn't get anything. one little girl gave them each a piece. after i got the boys back in the van and we were leaving they started to put out more candy. i started to park again so they could run and get some, but then all the kids ran over and it was gone. i felt bad that they missed out, so we went home and russ and i hid some eggs in their room to find. i didn't grab their easter baskets from the basement, so they just put them in ziploc bags.

i think they enjoyed our make-shift easter egg hunt. plus they've never really been to one so they don't know what they are missing. hopefully next year we'll make it to one!
a few weeks ago i found a bunkbed at a yard sell for $25! the boys were so excited. every night they would ask if they could have their bunk beds. finally saturday we got mattress for them and russ put them together. jonathon claimed the top from the very beginning. i thought they could probably share the top if they really wanted to, but william said he wanted the bottom.
now the best place to play in the top bunk. all three will sit up there and play. we've already had our first fall. it was a little while after it was first put up. i was in the kitchen when i heard it and ran to find....yep....owen had fallen off. it was really my fault. we couldn't decide if we wanted the ladder or not. if we left it off then maybe owen couldn't get to the top. yeah right, he figured it out. so then he was trying to get down were the ladder was suppose to be and he just slide right off. poor kid! he was fine, cried for a little bit, then was right back up there. now the ladder is then and he is a tiny bit more cautious.

those bunk beds are the best! william and jonathon are just the perfect pair of twins because they compliment each other so well. jon takes the top...that's okay because will wants the bottom! how often does that happen???

I can't believe Owen fell off the bunk already! It looks like they loved their egg hunt!

I love the bunk beds! I'm sure the boys have fun climbing on them. Crazy Owen. That kid will try anything.
