Fourth of July started out with the fire department driving around town at 5:30 AM honking their horns to wake up the town. Wes got to drive one the the trucks for that. i wanted to try and sleep in a bit, so we didn't go. then there was a parade that started at 6 AM, we met Wes on the street and got to ride in the truck he was driving. it was pretty fun!
after the parade there was a presentation, bands played, song, etc. then the fire department got out their hoses and sprayed everyone. also super fun! on the way back to Wes' house we stopped at the fire house where they fed up pancake breakfast.

the night of the Fourth Wes was on the hot spot crew that watches for fires where they left off the fireworks. so again we got the hook up with Wes' being a volunteer firefighter and got to sit by the firetrucks right across from where they were setting the fireworks off.

Happy Fourth of July! Grateful that we live in such a wonderful country and for all the freedoms we get to enjoy. Grateful for all those who serve and who have served to ensure we have those freedoms....
