these three quilts i have been meaning to finish for a VERY long time!
the first one is a small wall hanging. i really liked the fabric but didn't know what to do with it, so this is what it turned into. i also decided to quilt it myself with a really close stitch. for this tiny thing i think i ended up replacing my bobbin 5 times! now that it is all washed and dried i really like how it turned out.
the second one has a great story! so russ' mom's grandma, (got that) made a lot of quilt tops but never finished them. she gave them to her grandchildren just as the top. i loved all the fabric she used and such a cool design. so russ' mom asked if i would quilt/bind it. after having it almost a year i finally made it to my sister's to have her quilt it on her machine. we did a sunflower that we thought looked like a pinwheel, which looked like the design. then i did the binding. it was fun being apart of such a fun quilt, i am glad russ' mom asked me to help her get it finished. i am going to guess that it is between 40-50 years old. so cool!
the third quilt i finished the top for owen 's birthday. back in october. yep it sat that way for a few months and when i took the other quilt for my sister to quilt i brought this one along too. you can't see the quilting too well because the fabric is pretty busy, but there are lions, hippos, alligators, etc. super fun! glad these unfinished projects finally got finished!

I love them! I bet quilting that first one must have gotten tedious. At least it was small. I really like it though. How cool to finish that second quilt. I love the pattern.
I never did hear how she liked it.
