a shout out!

this is a shout out to my sister, Konda. she is a major quilter! she has a long-arm quilting machine, that people bring their quilts to her (well, they pay her too) and she does all the fun quilting you see on them. she has also written a few books too. there is her latest one...

they are patterns using these fun things called charm packs (pre-cut 5 inch squares). so she also has a blog, MOOSE ON THE PORCH QUILTS, and a fun little link button...the one that is a big purple moose. her last two books she has let me test out one of the patterns for her book. so i guess you could say that i am also published! i really loved the colors and fabric for this last one. i think it is posted over on her blog right now. it's the bonus star throw. the colors are brown, green, and blue. my sister has 4, soon to be 5, girls, so most of the fabric she uses is pretty girlie. since i have all boys and no need for pink quilts she i got to do the 'boy' colors for this quilt. anyway....she's is also giving away a free book on her blog, since she is already going to give me a free one for testing a pattern out for her you should go comment on her blog so you can get your own free book! the patterns are all pretty simple, hey i can do them! alright, enjoy!
